How It Works
The concept is simple: Earn points for Wins based on Location and Opponent Conference (and a pity point for losing in OT). No polls. No computers. No committees. Win or watch the playoffs from home.
The Idea
Win. Then win again. Don't stop winning. All too often, biased human committees and polls determine who's in and who's out. What if we got rid of all that? Every game earns points, increasing in value based on who you beat and where you beat them. End of the season comes, and the 5 highest conference champions and the next 7 highest point totals make the playoffs. If only life were so simple.

The Points System
| Points | When |
|---|---|
| 7 | Win Conference Championship Game |
| 5 | Win AT a Power 4 school |
| 4 | Win Neutral or VS a Power 4 school |
| 3 | Win AT Non Power 4 school |
| 2 | Win Neutral or VS a Non Power 4 school |
| 1 | Win FCS or Lose in OT |
| 0 | Regulation Loss |
| W/L | Postseason results do not earn points |
The Conference Breakdown
Power 4: ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, and Notre Dame.
Historically, Pac-10 / Pac-12 count as Power through 2023. From 2024 on, the leftover Pac-12 is treated as Non Power 4; Oregon, Washington, USC, and UCLA are Power as Big Ten teams.
Non Power 4: Everyone else in FBS
FCS: non FBS opponents
Tiebreakers and Playoffs
Tiebreakers are as follows:
- Head to Head (if 2 teams are tied AND they played)
- Sum of Opponent's Season Points (regular season only; CCG and bowls excluded) — stronger schedules rewarded by the tiebreaker.
- From there, sequentially, tie is broken by number of 7 / 5 / 4 / 3 / OT Losses.
Playoffs work (mostly) the same as real life. Best 5 champs by total season points. Then the next 7 by total season points. When the 12 teams are set, they are seeded by total points. Some champions won't be top 5 and some at large teams won't be bottom 7. The initial Playoff Tables are available Week 4.
